Prepare for your GESE Grade 5 B1 exam
What is in the exam?
The exam is 10 minutes long. There are two parts:

You must complete a Topic Form in advance and bring it with you to the exam.

You will discuss the topic with your examiner
-
The examiner will choose two subjects areas to have a short conversation with you.

Topic Phase (about 5 minutes)

Select a topic, fill in the form in advance, take it to the exam and give it to the examiner.

You will need to talk to the examiner about the topic you have chosen and ask at least one question
-
The examiner will ask questions and will talk to you about at least four things on your Topic Form.

Need to use Grade 5 language.
Conversation Phase (about 5 minutes)
The examiner will choose any two of the following six subjects to talk to you about:
Festivals Means of transport
Special occasions, eg birthday celebrations
Entertainment, eg cinema, television, clubs
Music
Recent personal experiences
Ask the examiner at least one question about the subjects.
Results and certificates
After the test you will receive a report with you provisional result - Pass or Fail
You should expect to receive your Certificate through the post within 10 days.
