What is in the exam?
The exam consists of one assessed phase up to 7 minutes long
Candidate performance
In addition to the requirements in the previous level, you should:

Be able to demonstrate an understanding by responding to requests and simple

questions.

Be able to communicate a certain amount of information relating to basic everyday circumstances.

Be able to communicate what you do on a day to day basis by asking asking and responding to simple questions.
You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level A2 in Speaking and Listening for:

Further Leave to Remain (visa extension), required two and a half years after passing an A1 test.
GESE Grade 3 exam = CEFR A2.
UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires non-EEA nationals to pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in speaking and listening at level A2 after 2.5 years in the UK, in order to qualify for further leave to remain on the five-year partner or parent route to settlement.

By passing the A2 exam it means the you have reached A2.1 in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)
